Walking Tour from Yanaka to Nezu
Yanaka and Nezu area is on of the few districts in Tokyo where an old town atmosphere still survives. Throughout the district, there is and air of nostalgia and a rustic charm.
A walking tour starts from either Nippori station or Sendagi subway station. Yanaka is famous for cats and croquette also. On the way to Nezu, there is an old cedar tree where tourists can take pictures. Nezu Shrine is one of the oldest shrines in Tokyo. One of the eye-catching features of this shrine is scores of small vermillion torii that cover the paths on the hillside above the main shrine, making for a tunnel effect.
