Welcome to my page

I am an English guide

in charge of Asakusa.

Below is the sightseeing spot I provide the guiding service.

Asakusa

Sensouji-temple in Tokyo It is the most popular tourist spot in Tokyo, has its origins back in 7th century. Then two fishermen found a small wooden statue in the Sumida river; so shiny they at once recognized its huge significance- Kannon Buddha-and built a temple in its honor. Looking more closely at the temple itself, we can see big red lanterns which are the symbol of the temple. Then there are the statues of the gods of wind and thunder, a five-storied pagada. And, how aboout an incense burner with miracle powers said to cure every ailment. I, myself, put the smoke on the head and face whenever I visit the Sensouji-temple and the results…no comments! The main hall ( you can’t see the Buddha, because it is so shining that your eyes will be blind.???) and Asakusa shrine. It is the place of coexistencce of the Buddhism and Shintoism. You can learn the Japanese way of thinking about religeons. Finally at the shopping street, if you’re lucky you can take photoes with Japanese ladies wearing kimonoes and see a lot of Japanese souvenirs.
