I am an English guide in charge of
Fukagawa Edo Museum and Kiyosumi Gardens.
|Below is the sightseeing spot I provide the guiding service.|
In this tour, you will visit Fukagawa Edo Museum and Kiyosumi Gardens. You will experience old townspeople life about 200 years ago and see beautiful Japanese garden.
Fukagawa Edo Museum
Shall we go to the world of Edo (current Tokyo) around 200 years ago?
The old town called Fukagawa was has been reproduced in the museum. You’ll see the buildings which were constructed in those days and feel how townspeople lived in there.
One of the features of the museum is that you can enter the reproduced rooms and can touch displayed goods. When you take photos in a room, it seems you are in the 19th century.
From children to grandpa., all generations can enjoy “the samurai era time trip”.
This is a traditional Japanese garden. You will find a beautiful pond, island, hill, and many wild birds here.
At the end of the 19th century, the founder of the Mitsubishi Financial Group, Iwasaki Yataro, made the garden. A highlight of the garden is the many rare rocks set around the grounds. The stones were collected from all across the country.
You can forget your troubles and relax for a time.
Location: Koto-city, Tokyo. Five minutes’ walk from Kiyosumi-Sirakawa Station, Subway Hanzo-mon Line (Z11) or Oedo Line (E14).
