Welcome to my page

I am an English guide

in charge of Ueno.

My proposal

Government licensed tour guide. I have been living in Yokohama for 35 years, and have been working in Tokyo for more than 30 years; 20 years as a business person,10 years as a teacher.
So I’m familiar with sightseeing spots and hidden places in Yokohama, while Tokyo is another special place for me!
Three years ago I became a tour guide just because I love Japan and I’m proud of my country! Among all, I’m really fascinated with the seasonal changes, 4 clear-cut seasons; each of them has its own attraction.

My personal information I would like to tell you

I like meeting new people from all over the world, and Japan. I’d like to help you find the seasonal tastes of Tokyo&Yokohama, Japan specially arranged for you whenever you come! Also I’d be willing to answer your any questions about Japanese cultures, such as Sumo, Kimono, Furoshiki, Tea ceremony, Ninja, Karate, Wadaiko, Kabuki, ,, you name it! If you are interested in one or more of them, I would like to help you find the right place to enjoy it.
My guiding policy is I would be flexible to make a special plan accoding to the tours’s tastes.

Below is the sightseeing spot I provide the guiding service.

Sightseeing spot

Sight-seeing spot : Ueno in Tokyo, Taito District. In front of JR Ueno Station, 10 minutes from Tokyo Station. Ueno Station” is the meeting spot.

Ueno is the center of history, culture, and arts in Japan as well as in Tokyo. The main attracition is “Ueno Park”,where there are history & art museums, a concert hall, a zoo, shrines, and other historic sites surrounded by nature. Fascinated by the intellectual attraction, many tourists have flocked to Ueno. Thanks to Western National Museum designed by Corbugier designated as World Heritage site in 2016, and the birth of Shanshan, a new baby panda in Ueno zoo in 2017, Ueno has been a more popular destination in Tokyo than ever.

There are many ways to enjoy Ueno. I will help you find your own “Ueno”.

1) Nature : Ueno Park, Shinobazu Pond, Ueno Zoo
2) Historical spots : Ueno Toshogu shrine, Hanazono Shrine, Ueno Pagoda
3) Western & Japanese Arts : Western National Museum, other meuseums
4) Architecture: Western National Museum designed by Corbusier, designated as World Heritage.
