Shizuoka_Fujinokuni Tea Museum

I am an English guide in charge of
Fujinokuni Tea Museum, The SL train ride of Oigawa Railroad & Country walk of Ieyama Town.

My proposal

The tour starts at Kanaya Station, 30minutes train ride away from Shizuoka Station to the west. The tour starts walking in the midst of beautifully trimmed tea tree fields for 20minutes. The first stop is Fujinokuni Tea Museum. Tea leaves picking experience and powdered green tea drinking can be done along with thorough explanations of green tea knowledge and tea processing. Back to the station, the steam locomotive train ride for 30 minutes will bring to the local country station of Ieyama. Enjoy local ‘oden’ lunch and walk around the town visiting a soysauce factory and an old temple with 33 Buddhist statues made of stone. The tour will end with a foot bath of a mini hot spring. It will unwind your pleasant fatigue of the day’s walk.

My personal information I would like to tell you

Born in 1952 Female English teacher / Guide: National Guide Certificate holder, STEPtest 1Grade

I’ve been working as an English teacher all my life. After passing 60, I challenged to become a certified guide. In my free time I enjoy traveling not only around Japan but also around the world always with the help of guides. Just a small stone shines with the explanation given by guides. They really help travelers understand a lot about the place and culture. I really wish to entertain tourists with easy to understand explanations and make their trips most memorable and pleasant just like the guides I have met and have been helped by.

Below is the sightseeing spot I provide the guiding service.
