Welcome to my page

I am an English guide

in charge of Higashiyama-ku (Kyoto).

Below is the sightseeing spot I provide the guiding service.

Speaking of Kyoto, you may have images that it is always very crowded and is flooded with a lot of tourists. Therefore, I chose the places where we can feel relaxed this time. I will show you around Temple of Shining Mercy ( Ginkakuji temple ), Nanzen-ji, Honen-in and Eikan-do ( Zenrin-ji ). We will firstly visit Ginkakuji temple by bus from Imadegawa Subway Station. Temple of Shining Mercy: The origin of the temple is the villa built by 8th Shogun of Muromachi Shogunate, Ashikaga Yoshimasa. The temple is also called “Temple of the Silver Pavillion” comparing with Golden Pavillion. There are several stories ( reasons ) why the temple was not covered with silver papers. Nanzen-ji: Emperor Kameyama founded Nanzen-ji in 1291. It is the headquater of the Nanzen-ji branch of Rinzai Zen. Honen-in: It is a small temple and many literary people and scholars loved this. You will be relieved from your stress and will savor quietness and each moment there. Eikan-do: Shinsho founded Eikan-do in 853. During autumn season, you can enjoy seeing autumn foliage and will beimpressed by them.

My personal information

Hello. Thank you very much for checking my page! Let me introduce myself. I majored in comminication studies at university and I mainly learned Chinese, English and Japanese. I wanted to explore the world and I applied for the studying abroad program ( as an exchange student ) and I went to America for 9 months after passing the examination. After finishing the short term intensive program there, I mainly took classes about the communication studies there and learned them with local students. I also joined Taekwondo club and practiced a lot with the club mates ( Native Americans ) and had a very good time there. After graduation, I worked for a manufacturing company and have been working for a trading company as an oversea’s sales representative since I wanted to use my English. I have visited 9 countries for business. I use English every day for business purposes and I have confidence in English. I have the ability to continue things and I have continued to learn English since I graduated from university. While it took 5 years, I finally passed Eiken ( STEP TEST ) 1 st grade. At present, in addition to my regular work as an oversea’s sales rep. at a trading company, I also work as a tour guide on vacation. I like to entertain guests as a guide and I am very happy to see their smile. I gained knowledge about tourist places ( such as, historical things and cultures, etc… ) by visiting them and reading books. I output the knowledge through experiences as a guide and I learned them by try and error by checking their reactions. I want to put on emphasis on the mind of hospitality and kindness and would like them to come back to Japan again. I want to be a tour guide who make guests think that they want to travel with me. Thank you very much for your kind attentioni and your time.
