Osaka_The Open-Air Museum of Old Japanese Farmhouses

I am an English guide in charge of
The Open-Air Museum of Old Japanese Farmhouses.

Below is the sightseeing spot I provide the guiding service.

The Open-Air Museum of Old Japanese Farmhouses
Located at the Hattori Ryokuchi Park in Toyonaka city, Osaka Prefecture, the museum holds a display of 12 old farmhouses, which were built during the 17th and 19th century.
These houses have been moved and restored on the grounds of about 36,000 m2 for exhibition from different places throughout Japan. It is the easiest place to access to learn about Japanese old houses.
In addition to these farmhouses the museum displays related items and implements of daily living from that time period.
You will know how each house was individually built to suit each geography and climate. You can imagine how people lived daily during the olden days from my guide.

The park is very close to Osaka, which offers dozens of sightseeing opportunities for all tastes, including Osaka Castle, Namba(Dotonburi, Doguya-suji, Kuromon market, Denden-town), Umeda Skybuilding, Abeno-Harukas (the tallest building in Japan), Tsutenkaku, Osaka Aquarium, the Osaka museum of housing and living, Shitenno-temple , Sumiyoshi Taishya shrine visiting by a pretty Hankai streetcar, etc. I will guide you around for a

To get to the museum:
About 15 minutes from Osaka Umeda(the Midosuji subway line) to Ryokuchi-Koen station, about 1 km from the station

My personal information

I received my qualifications as a national guide in February 2016 and started to guide as a licensed guide the following month. After working long term as a public employee, I retired and started to guide. I have guided groups which consisted up to 33 members. I mainly guide in the cities of Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Kobe, and Hiroshima, as well as Nagoya, the Hida area, and Kanazawa. My TOEIC score is 875. Even though it’s not so high every guest has thanked me very much. In addition to my tour guide skills, I’m able to interact nicely with the guests, making them enjoy the tours attentively with a bright and open mind.
It would be my greatest pleasure to show you around and introduce to you not only tourist attractions, but also unique Japanese culture and how the locals live.
