Hyogo_Himeji Castle and Kokoen Japanese Garden

I am an English guide in charge of
Himeji Castle and Kokoen Japanese Garden.

Below is the sightseeing spot I provide the guiding service.

Himeji Castle and Kokoen Japanese Garden
Himeji Castle is a huge wooden architecture built 400 years ago. It was registered as the World Cultural Heritage in 1993 for the first time in Japan. Himeji Castle is called the White Egret Castle because it’s graceful figure looks like a flying white egret. A main tower and three small towers are connected with the passege galleries. There are many gates and watchtowers in the castle. The passage ways are winding like a maze for the enemies not to reach to the main tower. There is a Japanese stroll garden “Kokoen” made in the former residential area of Samurai. You can experience the traditional art of tea ceremony at a tea house in the garden.
